CMAT is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for management
admissions. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for
admission to Management Programs in the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be
conducting the CMAT-2021 exam. CMAT is an MCQ based online test. The exam is a gateway to more
than 1000 MBA colleges in India. The CMAT score is accepted by all the AICTE- Approved Institutions /
University Departments / Constituent Colleges /Affiliated Colleges.
CMAT 2022 Exam Pattern:
Exam pattern: CMAT question paper now has 4 sections (Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning,
Language Comprehension, General Awareness) PLUS the additional optional section (Innovation &
Entrepreneurship).
CMAT 2022 Syllabus Highlights:
The CMAT question paper is divided into four sections with each containing 25 questions. The syllabus
for each section is different and tests different abilities of a candidate. Multiple topics are covered in
each section but the topics are usually from the same subject.

CMAT Syllabus for Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation(QT & DI)
In CMAT, Data Interpretation is clubbed in the Quant section.Topics – Pie Chart, Bar Graph, Tabulation, Number System, Percentages, Allegations & Mixtures, Ratio
and Proportion, Fractions and Decimals, Averages, Allegations and Mixtures, Profit and Loss, Quadratic
and Linear Equations, Permutation and Combination, Simple and Compound Interest, Geometry, Pipes
and Cisterns, Probability, Mensuration, Time, Speed and Distance, Partnership.
CMAT Syllabus for Language Comprehension (LC)
Language Comprehension tests a candidate’s ability to read, comprehend and write in professionalEnglish.
In this section, the Topics majorly include – Reading comprehension, Para jumbles,
Antonym/synonyms, Sentence completion, Idioms and Phrases, Grammar-based questions, Errors in
English Usage, Sentence Correction, Parts of Speech, One-Word Substitution, Cloze Test, Sentence
Improvement.
